One-Visit Porcelain Crown

The most common crown restoration placed today consists of a metal lining covered with porcelain. These types of restorations are not as natural in appearance because light is not able to pass through porcelain-metal crowns as it does pass through a natural tooth. The result is an opaque or flat-looking tooth. Often, these types of traditional crowns leave a dark or gray line next to the gumline.

Digital Impression
After preparing your tooth for restoration, your tooth is covered with a reflective coating. We then use a state-of-the-art digital 3-D camera to create an optical impression. This digital image replaces the physical impression required in traditional procedures. This means no more long waits for you while a tray of impression goop hardens in your mouth.

Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Patented CAD software allows us to design every precise detail of your restoration with total accuracy. The software allows us to customize the shape of the restoration to exactly fit your specific clinical needs.

Mill and Place
While you wait, exact design specifications are sent to our on-site milling machine to create your restoration, milled from a single piece of porcelain. About 10 minutes later, your all-ceramic, color-matched restoration is ready for placement. Your new restoration is then fitted, polished and bonded. Your tooth is restored back to its natural form, function and beauty-- ALL IN A SINGLE VISIT!.
