Dr. Michael Abaian
Dr. Michael Abaian is a Los Angeles based Cosmetic Dentist with a unique background in many experiences that make him an excellent balance of all things desirable in a true artist. He has translated a passion for art, structure, and beauty into the perfection of one's smile.

Dr. Abaian began a career in Engineering with a degree from Cal State Los Angeles. This unleashed his love for structure and perfection. But he returned to Cal State Los Angeles to take up a B.S. in Biology, maintaining a high position on the Dean's List, and continued to complete a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from USC. Finally now an experienced Cosmetic Dentist, he combines his love for perfection, structure, and art into the smiles of very happy, more confident patients.

"When you are an engineer and you are building, you want to make sure that the structure is balanced, and the same principle goes into the mathematical proportions that we find in a perfectly balanced, aesthetic smile." Dr. Abaian is referred to as the "Engineer of the Smile" as he makes that effort to artistically restructure one's teeth when he is doing a "smile makeover", as many have seen on the hit television series, Extreme Makeovers.

Dr. Abaian puts deep thought into his comprehensive treatment planning and the design of one's smile as it is very personal and befitting to that particular individual. Color of the tooth and length and width of the tooth are all taken into

artistic consideration. Dr. Abaian considers a comprehensive over-all treatment plan that includes the patients's desired out come with regard to color, shape and bite. Even the shape and size of the patient's face is considered so that the teeth will look like they were made just for that unique individual.
